Hello Invincibles,

This weekend’s match will be played on Saturday at 8.00 am at our home ground Deer Park Elementary School. Sanjay is trying to set up a match against Citi bank team, and Sanjeev has couple of other options for us. If any of these team is available then we will play a match against them else it will be a practice game for our team.  Considering the 1-1 result and close games between the two teams played today, it should be a good cricket even when we play practice game.

See you all on Saturday 8 AM…

Guys! Our win against CCC was our Best Win for this season and all previous seasons combined! An amazing team works that resulting in a thrilling win against CCC. The long weekend celebration was provided by Kavindra and Akash with some blitzkrieg that saw a flurry of boundaries and convincing win by OMCC. Wish I had recorded our innings!

I am trying to put this summary to give an idea for those OMCCIans who could not make it to the match.

CCC batted first on loosing the toss and started in a blazing fashion. CCC batsman played their strokes with abandon hitting almost in all direction. OMCC on their part did well by trying mix of bowlers and showing a good piece of fielding. At the 12 over mark CCC had scored plenty (109) but Kavindra’s unbeaten inning helped OMCC win in 10.5 over. Kavindra and Akash played a knock of big hit and constantly keep the run rate above the required rate per over.

I am very sure we all felt that our bowling attack was poor after CCC’s inning of 109 but I guess after OMCC innings it proved that it was the ground (probably shorter boundary) to blame than the bowlers. I am sure you would agree that we bleeded a lot of extras that also contributed towards CCC’s high total of 109.

It was a good game where every one got a well needed practice before playing against Citi Financial team. Thanks to our guest Players Sanjiv and Deepak. Thanks to Girish and Kumar for showing up for the match. The team appreciates the commitment shown by the team remembers and support of their families in making this a memorable cricket match for OMCC.

Something very interesting (or is it incidental?)

Rahul Dravid and Ricky Ponting both have played 110 matches and have scored exact same runs, though Dravid is all set to take the lead as he has one more innings in the Lord’s test match. So who do you think is a better player? ’The Wall’ or ‘Punter’?
